Posted on Posted in Blog post

We wanted to showcase the work ME4Change project is doing and create something extraordinary for the aspiring migrant entrepreneurs who had partnered with us in training and mentoring. We also knew that inspiring people for pitch event pitch event only would be difficult. We cracked this challenge by creating and event that would be attractive for younger population and provide many faces of entrepreneurship inspiration

Pitch competition, modest fashion show and great keynotes.

We teamed up with the Suomen Yrittäjät (Association of the Finnish Entrepreneurs) and the Ikhlasonline.com and created an incredible Business Unplugged meets creativity -event.

ME4 Change -pitch competition

At the event, the idea-level companies from ME4Change -project pitched their ideas to the full house of people interested in entrepreneurship. Great pitches are a learning platform for the future migrapreneurs and great inspiration for the spectators. Based on the inspiration and networking during the event we’ll have a boom of migrant entrepreneurs in a near future.

We also had a pleasure for hosting Carolina and Angélica as representatives from Migration Hub Germany.

Jury, consisting of Pia Erkinheimo, Ozan Yanar, Suldaan Said Ahmed, Aicha Manai award the winners certificate to HyzerFlip / Prateex Sakena who wanted to create a Finnish Disk Golf brand and utilise his Indian contact network for the manufacturing process.

Modest Fashion Show

The event also included the first Helsinki Modest Fashion show.
Modest Fashion is refers to a fashion trend in women of wearing less skin-revealing clothes, specially in a way that satisfies their spiritual and stylistic requirements for reasons of faith, religion or personal preference. Demand for Modest fashion products is constantly rising in both Finland and the world, and at least this event did not reduce demand. Follow the show here.
