Making Migrant Entrepreneurship Mainstream

Posted on Posted in Blog post

Currently, entrepreneurship and migrant entrepreneurship are often discussed as separate things. To improve the migrants access to entrepreneurial training, it is essential to spread the word for migrant entrepreneurship among the vocational and university teachers – these are the critical levels where recently migrated persons often participate and learn new skills.

ME4Change -project, and training have given more insight into what are the bottlenecks and what kind of training helps migrants to plan and act on their own business.

JA Finland and Federation of Finnish Entrepreneurs will organize a workshop for teachers to disseminate findings of the first ME4Change -training and mentoring experiences. The workshop will help teachers to understand the migrant’s challenges better and also offer them ideas on how to better incorporate migrants to entrepreneurship training.

The event will be held on the 15th of November in Helsinki, Finland.
