ICEI – Institute for International Economic Cooperation, partner of the ME4Change program, strongly believes in Migrants’ Associations’ pivotal role and contribution in promoting social inclusion and integration in the city of Milan. On this purpose, ICEI keeps on working with many entities working at local level developing different activities to support migrants.
As a matter of fact, few days ago, on Friday 6th April, a meeting was organized with Dar el Kalimat, a Women’s Association founded in Milan in 2012 and currently managed by Hana (from Tunisia) and Caty (from Ecuador). The Association involves women coming from North Africa, Central and Latin America, and East Europe, but it organizes several activities also for children, both Italian and foreign.
Dar el Kalimat is engaged as Community Access Point (CAP) in the ME4Change project and thanks to Hana and Caty’s commitment, many youngsters have applied to be part of the training course about to start!
During this last meeting, some women took the chance to ask questions about the training and mentoring program and time was spent to share past experiences, personal and professional expectations, practical details related to the training course (venue, timetables) and discuss about contents, objectives and deliverables.
Are you a young migrant aiming to start your own business in Milan? Get the chance to enroll in the project! There still time to apply!
